WASHINGTON, DC—(June 21, 2018) MEA Magazine in collaboration with Women Leadership Magazine USA (WLMUSA) and Heart & Soul will celebrate its 15th Gala Women of Leadership & Excellence Awards during the Women of Power Conference at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the nation’s capital. The Conference will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; VIP Reception 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.; the Gala from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Invited keynote speakers are Lt. General Bruce T. Crawford, CIO of the U.S. Army. LTG Crawford oversees the Army’s $10 billion IT investments, manages enterprise IT architecture, establishes IT policies and directs delivery of operational C4IT capabilities to support war-fighters and business users. Jane Campbell, President of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) was previously the first woman mayor of Cleveland, Ohio. She serves as the director of the Washington, D.C. office of the National Development Council (NDC). WIPP is a national organization advocating on behalf of women entrepreneurs. Suzanne F. Shank, CEO, Siebert Cisneros Shank & Company, is the founder owner and majority stakeholder at the firm. This is a full service investment banking and financial services company with asset of $2.3 trillion. Ann Marr, Vice President, Human Resources for World Wide Technology, Inc. a $8.5 billion systems integration firm. Marr is in charge of corporate development programs and small business enterprises.

Confirmed Guest Speakers: James Barbieri, Strategy & Global Development for Green Global Corporation. He has 35 years in the financial industry serving as bank president, CEO and director. He has traveled to 46 countries and has a strong working knowledge of African and Chinese business cultures. He has hands-on experience in 11 emerging African markets. Ron Busby, Sr., President/CEO, U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC). He has been recognized as one of the nation’s best CEO’s. He serves on the Pfizer Small Business Council, National Newspaper Publishers Association Foundation Board of
Directors, and White House African American Administration Leadership Council.
