Karen Barbour receives the Daily Record’s list of influential Marylanders

Karen Barbour has been named to The Daily Record’s 2013 list of Influential Marylanders.

The Daily Record created Influential Marylanders in 2006 to honor individuals who have made truly significant contributions in their fields and continue to be regarded as leaders in the State of Maryland.

“We are proud to recognize Karen Barbour as one of The Daily Record’s Influential Marylanders,” says Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Karen has had a profound impact on both her profession and this state. The list of individuals named to the 2013 list of Influential Marylanders was selected by the editors of The Daily Record.

Five Influential Marylanders were selected in each of 10 categories. These categories include civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.

Influential Marylanders will be honored at a cocktail reception on March 21 at the Grand Lodge in Cockeysville, Maryland. Honorees will also be profiled in the Influential Marylanders magazine, distributed at the cocktail reception and published in The Daily Record on March 22.
